Ansin Sport Park Community Center

S & F provided structural engineering and special inspection services for this new Community Center with approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting rooms, offices and a gymnasium. The building framing consisted of concrete slab with beams at the second floor and pre-fabricated wood trusses at the roof.

Sadkin Community Center

The project consists of remodeling of the interior walls. Structural work included new openings in the existing wall at the first level. We provided design for support of new roof top A/C units and other interior renovations.

Public Safety/Fire Rescue Facility

S & F provided structural engineering services for remodeling the old Parkland City Hall building and adding to it, a fire station. Challenges included keeping the hurricane damaged old structure and upgrading to meet the strict budget guidelines and the construction schedule.

Fire Station No. 47

S & F provided structural engineering and special inspection services for a new fire station building for the City of Fort Lauderdale. The structural framing consists of concrete floor slab for the second floor and for the roof. The building is approximately 7,800 sq. ft. This facility was one of only two new building that met budget requirements and were built under a voter approved program to upgrade the city’s facilities.

Sunset Memorial Facility

S & F provided structural design and special inspection services for this new Memorial Services and administrative office facility. The structure consisted of masonry load bearing walls and steel joist roof. The main lobby has a 22 feet diameter dome roof made of aluminum space frame with plywood cladding. S & F worked closely with the dome fabricator to insure proper connections and economy. The dome was assembled in the fabricators yard and cut in half to be transported and lifted in place. S & F provided special inspection services during erection.
