S & F Engineers Inc. has extensive experience in dealing with the Municipalities throughout South Florida. Through this experience we have developed relationships with the governing authorities and become knowledgeable of the processes for the individual cities and counties. The Cities and Counties in South Florida are very attentive and vigilant to all aspects of the building design and construction and often engineers and architects inexperienced in the local design and construction standards find it difficult to obtain building permits.

The completed work included review of damages, analysis of existing structural framing supporting the glazing, negotiations with the insurance company with damage claims, design, specifications and inspection of new impact resistant glazing.

S & F provided structural engineering services and special inspection services for this project located within the U.S. Army base. The project consisted of new mini mall with approximately 8,300 sq. ft. area housing a retail store, a car wash and eight gasoline dispensers. S & F gained valuable experience dealing with the Dept. of Defense design guidelines, contract administration and quality control procedures during this project. Other similar projects were also completed in Fort Stewart, GA in McDill Air force base in Tampa FL.

After hurricane Wilma, S & F Engineers, Inc. provided a variety of structural engineering services to Broward County. Some of the services include condition assessments, design of any required repairs and inspection of repair work, assistance with permitting and insurance claims.
